Bad Water is an art space located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Described by a viewer as a “soul-project”, Bad Water is led by a burning desire to support and connect deeply with artists, engage intentionally with the local community and art communities at large, and defiantly encourage the exhibition of diverse, experimental, and evolving art practices in the American South.

The gallery is beside 320 E. Churchwell Ave. It is a partially accessible space. You can enter via a paved driveway to the left side of 320 E. Churchwell. The gallery is approximately 150’ from the street. The floor of the gallery is uneven, densely packed clay, which may present difficulties for those with physical disabilities. Please email us for additional documentation or virtual tours of the exhibition if you would like to view a show but have accessibility needs that our space does not meet.

Bad Water is open during exhibition receptions & by appointment.
